Society for Health agriculture and rural people ( SHARP) an NGO has engaged in rural development activities since its inception -1981 and Revised in 2000 with an aim to facilitate the vulnerable, marginalized, small land holders, women, landless and children in providing services for better living conditions. SHARP has been working in, Yadadri Bhongir,Suryapeta and Nalgonda Districts (erstwhile Nalgonda), Jayashankar Bhupalapally and Peddapalli Districts (erstwhile Warnganl and Kariminagar SHARP has been associated with Several Agencies under Central Government ,State Government and NABARD since 2001 and successfully completed several Programmes/projects related to NRM such as APRLP, DPAP, IWMP, WDF & IGWDP (NABARD) etc.,.

Livelihoods, and Training programmes. The major ongoing programmes/projects being facilitated by SHARP are SDP,CPP, FPOs, WCP Programme etc.,(list appended). Anantharam -VWDC (facilitated by SHARP) has also been recently awarded as best VWDC award by Agriculture Minister of Telangana on behalf NABARD on their Foundation day i.e., on 12th July 2019. SHARP has successfully completed WDF Watershed Development Projects With the Support of NABARD in 3 villages namely Seetharampuram ,Anantharam and Theryala in Gundala and Motakondur Mandals in Yadadri Bhongiri district (erstwhile Nalgonda district).These WDF Projects were started in 2008 and completed in 2015.Even after the formal completion of the watershed projects, SHARP has established the continuous association with NABARD Programmes and continuing the programmes like FPO (Farmer Producer Organization), SDP (Sustainable Development Project), CPP(Climate Proofing Project) , IWMS(Integrated Water Management Scheme) and OFFPOs in Siripuram Handloom Weavers Cluster in Ramannapeta Mandal, Yadadri Bhongiri District.

Tussar Weavers-Mahadevpur Mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalapally District. Most of the Livelihood activities initiated during the watershed project are still being continued. SHARP as also been implementing IWMP (Integrated watershed management programme) Watershed in Thungathurthy ,Maddirala mandals of Suryapeta District.Narketpally , Shaligowararam mandal of Nalgonda District JLG Programme is also being facilitated by SHARP support of NABARD. SHARP has also successfully completed Indo Germen Watershed Development Project – (IGWDP) with the support of NABARD in 3 villages namely Devrampally, Dhanwada, Bayyaram of Kataram mandal in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district (erstwhile Karimnagar district). These IGWDP-AP- projects were started in 2008 and completed in 2015. Even after the formal completion of the watershed projects, SHARP has established the continuous association with NABARD programmes and continuing the programmes like FPO (Farmer Producer Organization), SDP (Sustainable Development Project), CPP (Climate Proofing Project) and TDF (Tribal Development Fund-Maa Thota). Most of the Livelihood activities initiated during the watershed project are still being continued. The SHARP team has good rapport with surrounding villagers as they had have implemented the IGWDP project for 15 years in Kataram mandal. The SHARP organization has received state level Best PFA/NGO award by CGM-NABARD-Mr.K.R. Nayar garu & Sri.Reddy Subramanyam garu-Pri.sec.rural development –A.P, on 21-2-2012 for the outstanding work in IGWDP project.

SHARP as also been working in coloration with NABARD&NTPC(CSR Partnership) and implementing “Wasteland Development through Natural Resource Management” under FSPF Programme & implementing “Integrated Forming System” under WDF -Non watershed intervention Programme in Anthrgon and Palakurthy Mandals of Peddapalli District.

CIF (Concern India Foundation)-CSR-Project Implementing “Integrated Community Development for Smart Village Transformation”, Telangana. programme in Nizamabad,Nirmal,Jagityal,Rajanna Siricilla,Peddapalli and Mahaboobnagar Districts.
